The Channel Development Manager role is part of the Digital Concept & Delivery team within the Digital Group and is responsible for delivering exceptional digital customer experiences across multiple customer facing online assets through a customer-centric concept design approach.

The role is responsible for:
• Defining and visualising the customer experience from conceptual design to prototyping to market, with an emphasis on the user-interface (UX) across multiple devices and technologies;
• Defining and visualising the customer experience from conceptual design to prototyping to market, with an emphasis on the user-interface (UX) across multiple devices and technologies; eg desktop and mobile.
• Understand digital trends & apply these to customer and business needs to create competitive advantage, drive growth, productivity & an exceptional customer experience.
• Optimise business benefits and customer value through the creation of exceptional customer experiences.
• Undertake cost/benefit analysis.
• Lead as product owner and/or Digital SME on major projects and/or new concepts developing minimal viable products, responsible for the translation and development of requirements.
• Lead execution excellence across all facets of the design, development and implementation process to market.
• Responsible for the translation and development of detailed and complex digital requirements into market solutions ensuring these solutions are delivered in a timely manner to the market.
• Promote the vision, goals and capabilities of the concept requirements ensuring value is understood and delivered to the business, as well as enabling good priority and delivery decisions.
• Work with product stakeholders, IT and other suppliers to deliver solutions to market in a timely manner meeting set KPIs covering revenue, productivity and customer satisfactions.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications; business/marketing, digital/IT, design
• Experience in new product/digital development solutions to market with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a large organisation
• Experience in a financial services or other commercial service environments, for example telecommunications, energy, airlines.
• Strong Business orientation with online/digital background or extensive functional expertise.
• Strong design and usability expertise being able to effectively lead a design team and/or agency as well as usability supplier
• Strong business case and cost benefit analysis development skills
• Ability to socialise and gain business wide advocacy for new digital concepts
• Demonstrated project management understanding
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Advanced negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills with an ability to present effectively to senior and executive management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal, negotiation and management skills.
• Works well with all levels of the organisation as well as cross functionally.
• Planning and Organisational skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
