The Smith's Snackfood Company, based in Canning Vale, is currently seeking a Grocery Sales Representative to join our busy and successful sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving category sales growth and profitability by implementing account driven strategies of Category Management, Range, Presence and an effective Promotional programme as well as identifying in-store execution opportunities as per the Blueprint.

Key accountabilities of the role will include:



  • Planning for weekly and period sales executions based on current account opportunities, upcoming promotions, trading terms agreements, and new products.

  • Keeping the customer informed of product performance, consumer and industry updates, and opportunities to increase profits and sales in our categories

  • Selling in-store activity to appropriately support Commercial Calendar Period Priorities and control the order to ensure effective and efficient stock management at store level.

  • Effectively managing the journey plan to maximise call compliance and effectiveness and to flex service to facilitate execution of period priorities.

  • Building rapport with customers at all levels throughout the store to enhance service and create selling opportunities

  • Completing all sales accounting and administration procedures.

  • Demonstrating and exercising a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of your own and others safety at all times.




Requirements:



  • Current WA Drivers Licence.

  • Experience in a similar role, with demonstrated results identifying in-store sales growth opportunities against key Blueprint objectives and implementing a plan to improve in-store execution.

  • Ability to understand, interpret and use category facts in all aspects of customer interaction.

  • Ability to have a natural selling conversation with the customer that results in them taking action.

  • Ability to plan for and anticipate customer objections and to resolve these using negotiation techniques in the sales presentation.

  • Ability to use retail maths within a selling situation or conversation with retailer

  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload and manage ones time to meet business expectations and deadlines.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and to contribute and share ideas to meet team goals.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a customer-facing environment.
