The primary points of focus of this role is to: Drive sales from the NSW region with opportunities that spend greater than $3M in Air travel per annum.

Achieve targets through transactional based sales as well as achieving team success in selling premium revenue though subscription to business travel services.

Prospecting and filtering leads and building and managing a pipeline of opportunities to ensure successful achievement of acquisition targets through researching and understanding clients needs and positioning a defined suite of products and service solutions that meet requirements

Developing the product knowledge, selling skills and ability to influence client decisions whilst working in a team spirit within the sales organization.

Ensure all planning, tracking and reporting is timely and accurate using rigorous methodologies

There will also be a focus on developing a collaborative relationship and linkages within Business Travel departments such as Travel Operations and Client Management, as well as other business units such as Corporate Card and Merchant Services.

This position reports to the Head of Sales Australia.

Qualifications

Key Deliverables Drive Results Achieve aggressive sales transactional targets for Business Travel in NSW. Executing all sales-related activities to drive accounts through a 90 - 180 day sales cycle i.e. prospecting, fact-finding, needs analysis, formal bid, negotiation, acquisition and implementation.

Develop Winning Strategies Manage and grow a pipeline of opportunities Ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of results using SalesForce Providing market feedback, product innovation, and assist in the development of best-in-class value propositions. Meet all expense budgets

Builds and Leverage Relationships Develop strong business relationships with the Pipeline of Opportuniites Develop linkages with internal business partners to facilitate cross-selling Corporate Card, BTA, FES, and Consumer Travel products.

Who is successful in this role? A successful Sales Manager is one who: Proven track record in sales negotiations and closing skills is required. Has high level communication skills and the ability to adapt their communication style to suit the audience, A high level of business and market acumen, Knowledge of local competitors value propositions. Can demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to influence prospective client decisions Experience managing structured sales process Is comfortable liaising with a spectrum of Stakeholders including “C-level’ ; Senior CFO, Procurement Mgrs, to Internal Operations and Administration Mgrs Is driven to achieve targets, Can strategically plan to achieve both long and short term results, Has high energy and knows how to quickly identify an opportunity Has the maturity to understand we can’t be all things to all people. Has strong understanding of contracts, financial analysis and terminology, Ability to manage in a matrix structure the implementation and hand over to internal relationship management teams. Outstanding presentation and communication skills Is resilient and enjoys working in a team based environment, potentially in virtual teams
