Bing Search Advertising is on the cutting edge Microsoft’s product set and the small/medium-sized business segment is growing exponentially, especially in Australia & New Zealand. Overview:
We are looking for a Sr. Search Marketing Manager to drive the sales, service and program strategy for Bing Search Advertising to the small & medium enterprise segment. This role reports into the Asia SMB Marketing Lead and works directly with the global sales, service & marketing teams to drive the SMB segment forward at a local level in Australia & New Zealand. The candidate will leverage global segment strategies for search product offerings to lead the overall health of Small Business search advertising business. The Manager will drive local revenue goals, engage fully with the local subsidiary and identify local opportunities for Bing Search Advertising.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Responsible for SMB marketing segment KPI’s and reporting to leadership team.
Provide local market & customer insights to Global HQ team for consideration in development of SMB segment sales, service and program strategy
Represent the market in formulating the global SMB Segment strategy and budget planning process. Participate in joint budget planning exercise with HQ based on local opportunities & ROI potential.
Lead the localization and execution of marketing initiatives to align with the SMB Global segment strategy and drive local Search revenue. Responsible for data driven plans & closed loop ROI reporting to the global team and local subsidiary.
Identify scalable and cost efficient channels for driving SMB search sales.
Represent Global SMB organization vision & priorities at a local level to drive strong collaboration and results.
Evaluate reseller and affiliate marketing partnerships.
Determine country specific marketing partnership opportunities. Provide feedback to global team on centralized lifecycle programming.
Maintain contacts with the local joint venture Mi9 representatives for joint marketing/programming opportunities. Maintain local agency contacts for program initiatives.
Provide business objectives & segment strategies to local PR lead to help drive consistent initiatives. Represent SMB segment externally to media/industry influencers.
Partner with the local/regional Product Business Group to provide segment view & Voice of the Customer into product roadmap planning cycles.
Develop strong global, regional and local relationships with key partners in the Microsoft marketing ecosystem to guide results in country.
Communicate Global and Local marketing strategy focus areas to multiple levels of leadership across all mediums (written, oral, presentations).

Ability to understand a complex business and growth levers in order to formulate a sound marketing program execution strategy that will have maximum business impact.
Ability to draw insights and conclusions from diverse data sets and customer feedback and then translate into understandable business actions.
Deep project and ongoing program management experience. Ability to identify required resources/team members, drive a sense of common purpose and shared goals/vision, and deliver results as an outcome of ongoing or time-bound work.
Strong critical thinking ability; able to develop unique methods of analysis where traditional methods do not yield results.
Strategic perspective, analytical skills, creativity, and a passion for online advertising
Excellent communications skills and ability to collaborate across teams at all levels of the Microsoft organization.
Versatile communicator, interacting on various professional audience levels to deliver written/oral communications across organizations in a professional and confidential manner.
Strategic ability to think globally and execute locally
Ability to be successful in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment

Education & Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Advertising major preferred
MBA preferred
5+ years’ experience across sales, service and marketing in an online environment.
10+ years of marketing experience
Strong knowledge of the Australia & New Zealand online marketplace.
Previous experience with online advertising and search advertising business is preferred
Previous experience working within a global organization in B2B/ Trade marketing functions or SMB segment is preferred.
Previous experience in managing partnerships and channel programs
Previous experience in managing agency relationships.
