Senior Virtualisation Consultant

A Senior Consultant in Microsoft Services designs and delivers technical solutions to customers allowing them to maximise their investment in Microsoft technology. Building upon solid IT project experience relative to their level, these consultants will work with Microsoft's partners to assist customers in: • The delivery of high quality engagements around Microsoft's solution areas, technologies and products in diverse client environments. • Stabilising developed solutions using Microsoft methodologies in complex customer environments. • The design and development of integrated solutions using the latest Microsoft products and technologies. • Understanding the relevant application development, infrastructure and operations implications of the developed solution. This position is for a specialist in the latest generation Virtualisation, Windows Server and Client technologies and associated deployment, management and virtualisation tools. With a proven track record of design and deployment in Microsoft Virtualisation solutions. Future candidates will be required to have a depth of knowledge and experience in Hyper V technologies with secondary skills in deployment technologies such as Windows 7 /8 and also have associated knowledge of, 2008 and 2008 R2. In addition it would be an advantage to have knowledge of “light touch” products such as MS Deployment Tool, Windows Automated Installation kit, Windows Deployment Services and “zero touch” products such as System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) Tasks typically involve: • Undertake Presales activities to generate demand for MS Services • Analyse the business and IT requirements within client organisations and offer objective suggestions on various matters related to the clients IT environment • Meeting with clients to determine requirements and define the scope of the project • Creation of High level and detailed solution designs • Presentation of solutions in written and oral reports • Develop and implementation agreed solutions • Preparation of documentation and progress reports to clients • Involvement in sales support and, where appropriate, maintain contact with client organisations • Travel to client sites • Research and provide information in technical trends If it's your ambition to be the best and work with the best in your field of expertise please forward your resume.
