| This role will be responsible for development, review and delivery of technical training for high-tech equipment in the oil & gas pressure control sector. This role is critical to the ongoing success and growth of GE's Oil & Gas business in the region. The role will involve travel and will include close liaison with Region Managers, the GE Global Training Team and clients. | |

Work with Region Leadership to identify training needs to meet
competency requirements and work the Global Training Team to create a
strategy to meet the defined objectives.
• Delivery of training programs supporting the installation, operation, maintenance and trouble shooting of our surface wellhead equipment (conventional, commodity, multibowl, etc.) in accordance with the company’s recommended procedures, methods and guidelines. • Understand and train field service personnel and others on processes such as Pre-Job Planning (JAM), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), etc. • Ensure students gain a full understanding of company e-tools and are able to retrieve technical documents, packing lists, bills of materials, drawings, prior job reports, etc. • Analyse or contribute to analysis and update of operating service procedures (OSP’s) and other supporting technical documentation. • Prepare training materials to support regional needs. • Assist Field Service Supervisor in assessing competencies of their personnel. • Assist in the design of highly interactive and stimulating training courses support identified needs. • Maintain any supporting plant and equipment related to areas of training expertise. • Able to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. • Responsible for delivering specified training programs without supervision. • Assist with scheduling and maintaining the training plan. | |
| • Tertiary qualification from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Training & Development or a related field.
• A Certificate IV in Training and Assessing or equivalent is strongly desired. • Minimum three years of pressure control (wellhead and flow control) experience. • Proven track record in the Oil & Gas sector. | |
| • Ability to deliver training programs
• Intermediate Computer Skills (Microsoft Office) • Knowledge of GE Pressure Control equipment. • Demonstrated ability to deliver training on equipment across entire pressure control product line • Experience in training development and/or training delivery • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities; • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills; • Ability to adapt and handle multiple projects with different priority levels; • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; • Ability to interact with customers regularly; • Highly self - motivated and directed; • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly; • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high - pressure environment; • Experience working in a team - oriented, collaborative environment; and • Ability to initiate and influence integration of policies and practices into the business. |
