| The Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of a portfolio of customers, ensuring a sound level of customer service and client retention is consistently achieved. This encompasses all assigned accounts and field service management related functions to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards. | |
| • Close liaison with key stakeholders both internal and external;
• Preparation of weekly and monthly reports; • Foster and develop new business and implement innovative sales strategies; • Introduce new products to current customers; • Support, participate and assist in product training and self-development. • Primary point of contact for assigned account(s) i.e. operations, engineering, materials and purchasing; • Oversee the execution in all aspects of the account agreement/contract; • Liaise closely with the key stakeholders on preparation of quotations, customer contracts and Field Support Services; • Network within the oil and gas industry; • Direct and participate in sales activities to maintain customer base, develop new customers and monitor customer satisfaction; • Provide feedback of field problems through preparations and processing customer performance reports (CPR’s); • Development and implement sales plans or strategies; • Review quote and sales contracts; and • Highlight, demonstrate and promote a full understanding of GE Q/HSE procedures. | |
| • A relevant degree or diploma;
• Prior experience in a client management/account management role; • Robust sales skills; • Ability to identify best practice solutions and approaches to enhance customer experience and competitive position; • Ability to effectively work with multiple internal stakeholders to provide a seamless and efficient customer experience; • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to articulate clear and concise messages to a wide variety of audiences ; and • Well-developed computer skills. | |
| • Experience within the Oil and Gas industry is desirable, but related industry experience will be considered;
• Sound knowledge of the various API6A wellhead systems and their applications an advantage; • Mechanical aptitude and a knowledge of workshop skills beneficial; • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, within tight timeframes, and with minimal supervision; and • Strong process orientation with the ability to effectively manage multiple process steps and stakeholders. |
