In this competitive environment, continued operational excellence is key to our success. This is where you come in with your experience in an active management operations role, and experience with training in MTK, AOM or a similar management system.

This is a hands-on operational support role, working within the Operations Performance team in the SO OE Command Centre to facilitate the roll-out of production management across Service Operations.

This role provides Production Management technical assistance, training and implementation of production management principles and practices to support delivery of Operational Excellence projects. Initially this will be the Production Management roll-out project. Need more detail? Areas of focus will include to:

• Drive the Production Management discipline across Service Operations through the provision of SME advice and active engagement of Service Operations management and their teams.
• Support business leaders in their drive to improve productivity and adherence to schedule and budget.
• Teach, train and implement the Production Management Framework to ensure the consistent application of Production Management standards and practices across all Service Operations. This includes driving production from operational teams via active management and lean methods; work allocation methodology and backlog tracking; and delivering results to plan in an operational setting.
• Support Service Operations to apply Production Management practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Undertake analysis to understand workforce management performance; engage the leadership teams to provide insight to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Leverage Service Operations standardised procedures, policies and people to achieve targets.

To be successful in ths role we expect you will have:

• Experience in an active operations management role
• Strong analytical ability. Able to understand performance metrics and drivers; identifying anomalies, trends etc.
• Proactive/creative/motivating. Able to keep the often routine review of performance, interesting and informative.
• Experience in consulting and/or facilitation with advanced communication skills (i.e. demonstrated ability to articulate complex concepts in simple terms across varying audiences
• Training in MTK, AOM or a similar management system
• Strong analytical abilities and understanding of operations management principles and business process improvement
• The ability to teach and lead senior stakeholders in production techniques and methodology
• The ability to teach MTK/AOM/Production Management (planning, week in review, allocation, backlog tracking)
• Advanced Microsoft Office: Excel - able to use advance formulae in worksheet; PowerPoint - able to prepare presentation for varying audience; Word - able to prepare various reports and business documents
