What you’ll do: Trading Systems Engineers build, maintain and optimise Optiver’s high-performance trading environment. This is an engineering role; it is neither software development nor Systems Administration but does combine elements of both. You will be develop a deep understanding of trading strategies and learn about the operation of in-house software and the architecture of exchange and broker systems. In this role you’ll work with Python, Shell, C/C++, SQL and tools like Graphite and PostgreSQL. Trading Systems Engineers collaborate with Development, Trading and IT Infrastructure teams, so good written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
