We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commodities professional to join our expanding team of market specialists in Sydney to help support our Core Commodities product offerings.
The Role
Candidates should possess a deep body of knowledge and experience in the Commodities space in all sectors such as Energy, Metals and Agriculture and preferably also Commodity Derivatives. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, comfortable in a demanding and client-driven environment of producers, consumers, physical and financial traders.

Responsibilities will include:

• Owning relationships with and educating clients on unique Bloomberg solutions.
• Speaking at seminars and conferences
• Furthering the knowledge of our sales force through internal training.
• Providing feedback to Bloomberg's business Managers on Product enhancement
• Contributing magazine articles to Bloomberg Markets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the financial industry, with a broad and detailed knowledge of the global and local commodities markets, so that the successful candidate can meet the high-level analytical demands of our customers.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
• Strong presentational skills, with the ability to command and hold the attention of both small and large groups.
• Excellent communication skills in English is a must
• Knowledge of the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL service is essential.
• Strong negotiating and inter-personal skills; able to influence the future direction of our products.
• Experience in a sales role is desirable.
