| This
role is responsible for project delivery in the Telephony space. The
role requires a Telephony resource to either execute or co-ordinate
execution resources for GE Capital’s Voice projects.
The main purpose of the role is to execute projects in GE Capital’s Voice & Telephony Environment. It will involve after hours project implementation and testing as well as interaction with other IT teams, the PMO team and vendors. | |
| Delivery and Stakeholder Management
• Accountable for the successful implementation of GE Capital A&NZ’s Voice and Telephony projects (including out of hours cut overs) • Accountable for sourcing Technical resources as required by the program of projects, including SOWs, Purchase Order Management and all required access • Accountable for representing Voice & Telephony Project Execution at the IT OOM Council and providing the business with anticipated project costs • Work pro-actively with IT leaders, Business teams and Project managers to forecast demand for Telephony projects • Collaborate with project managers to plan, monitor and control solution delivery. Assist in risk identification and mitigation. Assist in risk identification and mitigation • Create strong relationships across GE IT to expedite solution delivery • Key contact for internal stakeholders to help in technology and design direction Vendor Management • Resource planning for web development work with vendors • Engaging vendors for resourcing requirements • Manage vendors as collaborative partners in developing solutions • Participate in tender processes for selecting vendors; negotiate and manage vendor agreements Quality Management • Develop standards, templates, best practices and guidelines for work-products and processes in line with PEF • Produce or ensure (Vendor produces) all documentation and processes for all projects adhere to the PEF framework and are in-line with GE Policies & Compliance requirements • Collaborate with project managers to plan, monitor and control solution delivery. • Assist in risk identification and mitigation. • Work with solution architects and vendors to ensure that quality standards are met • Measure delivery performance and pro-actively evolve work-products and processes to improve it • Ensure all Project Handover Documentation delivered during the Implement or Close phases of the project • Adhere to GE Capital’s IT Change Management and Highly Privileged Access Processes for all Projects | |
| Qualifications
• Academic Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or Telecommunications preferred Experience • 5 – 6+ years technical experience in Telephony Infrastructure & Applications • 2+ years experience delivering Voice projects • 2+ years experience managing vendors during project execution Attributes/Behaviours The successful candidate must have the following attributes. • Flexibility in working hours (after hours Project Cutover component) • Excellent communication skills • Enthusiasm and energy • Integrity and ability to persevere Technical Knowledge • Technical background in at least two of the following technology areas: o Web-based voice applications built using IBM WebSphere and/or Apache Tomcat o Computer Telephony Integration o Multi-Channel Contact Centres o PABX o Predictive Diallers o IVRs o Call Recording systems o VoIP /SIP o TCP/IP Internetworking o Encryption Devices • A proven track record of Project Delivery on a variety Contact Centre or IPT solutions • Knowledge of ITIL and Project management practices Skills • Project Execution & Management • Vendor Management • Knowledge Management • Communications • Technical writing | |
| Qualifications
• Industry Certification in at least one major Voice technology( EG: PABX or IVRs or Diallers) is preferred Experience • 1 – 2 years experience in ITIL or similar models preferred |
