Role Summary/Purpose     GE ANZ’s businesses are critically dependant on a number of key platforms that support and deliver both business and product functionality. This Sourcing Category Leader role will:
Manage all aspects of the day-to-day commercial relationships with suppliers of key Operational Services categories which includes but not limited to the sub-commodities listed below:
Purchased services
Banking Services, Credit Bureau -Credit checks, Real estate services, Tax services, HR & Training services
Essential Responsibilities     • Work with Sourcing Sourcing Director and Business unit teams to formulate an on-going sourcing strategy (using GE Lean Six Sigma Sourcing methodology) for all expenditure categories
• Leading the development & execution of sourcing strategies which delivers a competitive advantage. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with GECC, GE ANZ Sourcing policy and procedures, this includes providing business unit representatives support and guidance with completion of Supplier Risk assessments pre-engagement and commencement of the provision of goods and services
• Proactively managing specific Operational services categories in such way as to achieve the agreed contract or category outcomes at the lowest cost the business.
• Review of contract register to proactively identify renewals.
• Identify and manage contract leakage
• Identify opportunities for improvement and to influence stakeholders in order to gain entry into key spend streams – “One GE approach”
• Actively engaging suppliers, business units, users and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues and manage the communication flow between all involved parties
• Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with stakeholders and systematically review the spend profile to identify opportunities to drive value and savings
• Liaising with stakeholders to identify forthcoming projects
• Identification of cost drivers with industries relevant to Operational Services, using market research and benchmarking where appropriate
• Conduct baseline and spending analysis
• Determination of the company’s “total spend” for a particular category of goods and services. Prepare professionally presented reports
• Driving improvements in sourcing processes including escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payables issues, and database management.
• Build RFI’s, RFP’s and customise contract & SLA templates on line using preferred GE e-auctioning tools.
• People management: Lead, coach and play a key role in the professional development of direct report/s.
Qualifications/Requirements     • Degree qualified (business/commerce)
• Accredited procurement qualifications (CIPSA)
• Green Belt or above Quality certification is preferred.

Technical Knowledge
• Ability to analyse data and run on line auctions (if required)
• Deep domain Sourcing expertise

• Competent in the use of excel, powerpoint and word.
