Execute the agreed learning & development strategy for GEMI including design, facilitation and assessment of induction and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for insurance specific training which may also include insurance specific SFE training. The role needs to consider all L&D touch points to ensure the programs maximize the compliance message and sales opportunities. | |
Accreditation and CPD
Develop or source appropriate training programs to meet the learning and development strategy and annual plans for GEMI and its distribution networks; Work closely with Compliance, Consumer Finance SFE and distribution stakeholders to ensure we build programs that support the business strategy and identified needs. This also includes (where appropriate) working with Consumer Finance SFE on sales tools, etc.; Work with GEMI L&D Leader and Senior L&D consultant when developing training programs (including accreditation and CPD).; Work closely with Legal, Risk & Compliance areas to ensure that all training complies with relevant legislation and GE policy. This includes ensuring that all training is appropriately signed off by relevant compliance, legal and business stakeholders as required; Facilitate training; Be a technical SME (expert) for the applicable Policy and Procedure and products to ensure staff receive appropriate training and we meet our regulatory obligations and minimise incidence of issues and potential breaches; and Keep abreast of all regulatory, policy, procedure and product changes to ensure that training material is relevant and up to date. Support Business Projects Assist in conducting training needs analysis to ensure training reflects changes to policy and procedure; Support all business projects with on time, effective training solutions; Ensure solutions meet needs of business; Design appropriate material (including appropriate assessments) with assistance of L&D Consultants; Ensure all training material has the relevant sign-offs and that appropriate soft and hard copy files are established; Facilitate training; and Keep abreast of all regulatory, policy, procedure and product changes to ensure that training material is relevant and up to date and supports business initiatives. Maintain Training Records Maintain effective training administration including room bookings, invitations and myLearning scheduling; and With the assistance of the L&D System Specialist ensure we meet our regulatory requirements in relation to tracking training. | |
Qualifications
•L&D Certificate 4 •T1 and or T2 accreditation Experience •5 years plus experience in a training role. •5 years plus experience in the financial services industry (including relevant financial services regulation). •Experience in a highly compliant work environment. •Experience utilizing digitized solutions for delivering training programs. Technical Knowledge •Detailed understanding of insurance industry. •Understanding of Chapter 7 Corporations Act FSRA requirements. Skills •Ability to develop training programs thorough understanding of adult learning principles. •Sales skills (an understanding of). •Outstanding interpersonal skills ability to communicate at all levels. •Proven organisation skills. •Computer literacy. | |
