We currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and team orientated person to join the Inventory team as the Inventory Controller with the Smiths Snackfood Company based in Tingalpa.
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and inventory control support to the warehouse management team.
Key accountabilities for the role include:
- Co-ordination of all aspects of the Distribution Centre master data, stock-take, export, Vending and point of sale, low code product, damages and reduction or removal of redundant processes and product.
- Posting, reconciliation variance analysis and consolidation of supporting documentation.
- Co-ordination of all aspects of the Distribution Centre order planning and stock level management.
- Co-ordination of trade marketing activities for the Distribution Centre.
- Provide relevant database assessments of stock damages to drive effective control management through SAP, WMS and Team members.
- Train Distribution Centre staff in the use of SAP and other operation systems.
- Provide administrative support to the Service & Distribution Management team.
Essential
Requirements:
- Superior analytical and numerical skills
- In depth knowledge of the inventory and distribution processes as well as thorough knowledge of effective warehousing
- Advanced computer skills
- Sound knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
- Effective influencer with exceptional communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage priorities and use sound judgment
- Ability to act as a customer interface and problem solver
- Ability to implement improvements and initiatives in reducing levels of slow moving stock
- Proactively seek ongoing cost savings
- Knowledge of FMCG / Manufacturing industry desirable
- Degree qualified or currently studying engineering, supply/chain logistics, science, mathematics, IT, agronomy or business disciplines highly desirable
