As a Development Manager at Atlassian you will join an engineering-led company and the award-winning leader in software development and collaboration tools with over 25000 customers. We're looking for a results-driven technical leader to drive efficiency across our entire software development pipeline. You'll lead multiple teams creating the tools our developers use to build, test, deploy and analyse software, operating in a continuous delivery mode, shipping multiple times a day to a 24/7 production environment. The ideal candidate will ruthlessly seek out friction points, challenge the status quo, and have a strong vision about what best-in-class means. This is strategic position for Atlassian, not something tucked away in some corner. This is both a people management and technical management position where you will lead multiple teams of experienced, super smart engineers based in Sydney & abroad. What you'll do: As part of the technology leadership team, help define our SAAS/PAAS strategy and software delivery approach. Lead multiple teams building awesome tools that accelerate our build, test, release, deploy and analyse cycle. Work closely with the infrastructure teams to drive scale, performance and availability of the delivery pipeline. Work closely with all technology leaders to deeply understand needs, friction points, and build/drive a shared vision. Drive both tactical and long term strategic initiatives. Deliver the present and future. Lead, grow and mentor team leads and senior engineers. Who we're looking for: Experience running highly effective software development teams (15+ team members) Extensive background in full-stack development, SOA architectures, API and protocol design, networking, internet topology, virtualisation. Solid experience with current PAAS and IAAS offerings (e.g., AWS/Beanstalk, Heroku, GAE, CouldFoundry, Docker, etc.). Deep understanding of the latest build, test, performance test, deployment, configuration tools. Solid working knowledge of big-data analytics. Significant experience with teams delivering software every day to high-scale, always-on, production environments. Real-world Agile experience, and the scars to prove it. A strong opinion about this "Dev Ops" thing. This shouldn't be your first time around the block.
