Consultant Psychiatrist - CAMHS Post

The Position

You will be required to provide clinical leadership and direct clinical services on the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit for the Health Service. Within the role you will participate in the on call roster and undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and support case management of clients.

The CAMHS facility boasts state of the art settings for the multidisciplinary staff and the patients in their care. Features include contemporary design, the latest security systems, information technology and clinical equipment.

The Hospital

This hospital which recently underwent a $250m development is a 180-bed facility and is the largest of the 4 base facilities in the Area Health Service.

This facility has close links with Sydney University and hosts students in the final two years of the Graduate Medical Programme. The hospital has also been actively involved in JMO and registrar training for over twenty years, with JMO and registrar support of all major disciplines; as a result you will be engaged in lecturing interns, registrars and medical students.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in applying for this position you must hold FRANZCP or be close to obtaining fellowship and be eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA.

You must hold a current driver licence valid in NSW.
