Senior Channel Marketing Mgr


Purpose: The Senior Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for end to end retail marketing for Microsoft retail products. This spans the entire shopper path to purchase across all key retail accounts across Xbox, Windows, Surface, Phone, Office, and PC Accessories. As the Senior team member, this role is the retail brand gatekeeper for Microsoft at retail. Accountable for product sell-through in the way of shopper to buyer conversion through analyzing market conditions and understanding competitors and their activity.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop a close working relationship with Sales/Marketing to agree on Channel objectives
Collaborate with Channel Marketing Lead to agree Channel Marketing strategy, focus and direction.
Partner with Product Marketing/Category Marketing to agree product goals and category objectives.
Partner with Account Executives & Retail Partners to identify retailer category goals and opportunities.
Work with Channel Marketers to ensure planning for flawless & effective execution.
Consult Regional / Time Zone / Corporate Channel Marketing teams to leverage expertise and share & re-apply ideas
Develop and Execute a comprehensive retail marketing plan
Partner with Channel Marketing Lead and channel team to construct FY plans and effectively execute through teams.
Coordinate channel marketing across all categories to ensure considered marketing plans by retailer and shopper alike.
Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to identify breakthrough opportunities during peak time/launches.
Maximize the impact of category plans by synchronizing through the line marketing initiatives.
Agency and Partnerships Management
Own and manage effective agency relationships in order to achieve optimal execution and ROI.
Experiences Required
Experience in the FMCG or electrical goods retail channel, product marketing and/or retail execution
Demonstrated success in Channel Marketing leadership and influencing category growth.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing in-store and integrated marketing campaigns across multiple product groups.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
Evidence of an advance level of core Marketing experiences: Channel Strategy & Engagement planning; Channel Readiness Planning; Channel & Ecosystem analysis.
The versatility to translate marketing expertise from one industry into another
Education & Competency:
Tertiary qualifications required.
