Product Marketing Manager



Job's Purpose

Develop and execute marketing plans to achieve revenue and market share goals for Xbox Games and Xbox Console.

Key Responsibilities

- Development of product marketing plans including key business objectives, strategies and tactics for implementation that drive to achievement of business goals.

- Implementation of marketing plans through agencies including public relations, advertising, sales promotion, xbox.com.au, sponsorships, events.

- Manage external relationships with services agencies to achieve maximum value from marketing budget.

- Responsible for actively seeking and assessing information on competitors’ products and strategies.

- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with US and EMEA counterparts.

- Responsible for the completion of business planning activities for input to Xbox Review, and annual business planning cycle.

- Serve as key product evangelist (internal and external).

Position Scope

Xbox Marketing role, responsible for the development of the product portfolio for the Australian domestic marketplace within retail channel

Strategy and Development

Define appropriate market mix and build plans that span the marketing mix, including public relations, advertising, promotion, sponsorship, events, online, CRM. Product marketing plans will include key business objectives, strategies and tactics for implementation that drive to achievement of business goals.

Qualification and Experience

Preference will be given to those candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Commerce or related business degree.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of five years marketing experience with 3 years in Product Management. Knowledge of the gaming industry is highly desirable. Experience with managing product portfolio through external agencies is essential for this role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Candidates must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret market research and financial data.
- Must be an effective market strategist with the ability to understand and articulate key opportunities.
- Knowledge of marketing concepts (e.g. Pricing, positioning, merchandising and licensing of software products).
- Ability to perform business analysis.
- Ability to perform market analysis.
- Ability to determine and implement appropriate marketing plan and strategy.
- Ability to plan and implement marketing events.
- Ability to effectively manage a marketing budget.
- Knowledge of retail industry.
-Ability to conduct effective presentations to all levels of clients.
