Business Analyst


We are looking for a Small Business Segment Analyst to support the growth of the sales, service and program strategy for Microsoft Advertising. The Small Business Segment Analyst works with the global and local sales, service & marketing teams to drive the SMB segment forward at a local level. The candidate will leverage global segment strategies for search and display product offerings to lead the overall health of the SMB search advertising business. The Analyst will support revenue goals and sales strategy in the Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and India markets.

We are committed to leading and working with international teams, solving sales, service and marketing challenges and driving local execution of global strategic plans while developing deep insights into each market’s customer segment. You will leverage your strong and proven analytic skills and program mangement to support Sales leadership in market and use proven cross group collaboration skills to partner with global functional leads in HQ, CSS partners in HQ and APAC, and stakeholders in the EOC and APAC markets.

Core Accountabilities
Mangement of AU/NZ/SEA/IN SMB segment KPI’s and reporting to leadership team, including segment revenue targets
Provide local market & customer insights to Global team for consideration in development of SMB segment sales, service and program strategy
Provide market insights and program management for the global SMB Segment strategy and budget planning process.
Localization and execution of initiatives to align with the SMB Global segment strategy and drive search revenue. Responsible for data driven plans & closed loop ROI reporting to the global team and local subsidiary.
Identify scalable and cost efficient channels for driving SMB search business.
Represent Global SMB organization vision & priorities at a local level to drive strong collaboration and results within each subsidiary.
Maintain contacts with individual market Yahoo! representatives for joint planning / program opportunities.
Provide business objectives & segment strategies to local PR Lead to help drive consistent initiatives.
Provide Regional Insights program strategy in line with Global initiatives and in support of our Premium partners Mi9 and Yahoo
Partner with the global MSA Search Business Group to provide segment view & Voice of the Customer into product roadmap planning cycles.
Support partnership with SMS&P to identify market specific partnership opportunities.
Develop strong global, regional and local relationships with key partners in the Microsoft marketing ecosystem.
Confidently articulate global and local marketing strategy focus areas to key stakeholders.

Key Success Criteria
Localization and execution of initiatives to align with the SMB Global segment strategy and drive market search revenue.
Data driven planning & ROI reporting to the global team and local subsidiary.
Regional Insights program implementation for Asia
Successful migration of Yahoo! SMB customers in markets - ensuring strong communication, retention and servicing strategies.
Strong global, regional and local relationships and collaboration with key partners in the Microsoft marketing ecosystem.
Communication - ability to articulate global and local marketing strategy focus areas to key stakeholders.

Essential Experience
3 - 5 years experience across sales, service and marketing in an online environment.
Strong knowledge of the online marketplace in Southeast Asia, AU/NZ, and India.
Previous experience working within a global organization & SMB segment is preferred.
Previous experience in partnerships and channel programs.
Previous experience in managing agency relationships.

Technical/Functional Skills
Strong, functional search and display advertising knowledge
Outstanding analytical skills

Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills
Proven success as an excellent collaborator across multiple groups on multi-faceted marketing issues.
Ability to understand a complex business and growth levers in order to contribute to a sound sales, service & program execution strategy.
Ability to draw insights and conclusions from diverse data sets and customer feedback and translate into business actions.
Deep project and ongoing program management experience.
