Process/CI Engineer
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Process/Continuous Improvement Engineer to join one of Australia's leading Pharmaceutical Contract Manufacturers based in Melbourne.



Due to an increased level of manufacturing output from their Melbourne facility, a new and exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Process/Continuous Improvement Engineer to join this ASX listed Pharmaceutical Contract Manufacturer. Producing a range of high quality Prescription & OTC Pharmacetuical products, Nutra & Cosmeceuticals and Human nutrition products, there has never been a better time to join this growing company.



The main responsibilities for this position include:



- Leading, facilitating and participating in various improvement projects within the facility in order to reduce waste & cost with sacrificing productivity or quality

- Drive LEAN behaviours on the production floor and help with the implementation of various techniques (Kaizen, 5S, Process Mapping, etc)

- Design, commission and troubleshoot various upstream and downstream production equipment

- Proactively work and liase with various other departments in order to improve quality systems and other manufacturing processes

- Prioritise projects effectively in order to meet deadlines

- Review performance metrics effectively to ensure projects are meeting expectations



To be the successful applicant for the position you must possess:



- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline

- Have a minimum of 3 years experience working within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Food industry

- Possess sound understanding of commissioning, validation and verification of upstream and downstream equipment

- Have excellent troubleshooting experience (calibration experience will be highly favoured as well)

- Intimate understanding and practical experience with LEAN principles

- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis investigations (executing CAPA's will also be highly regarded)

- Thorough understanding of GMP standards

- Be highly motivated and a self-starter

- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team

- Have good judgment and problem-solving skills

- Have excellent documentation and communication skills

- Have a drive to continuously learn and expand your skills
