Responsible for managing all activities directly related to inventory accuracy, material flow, direct material preservation and storage. Maintaining critical documentation and traceability of material is a key component of this role. You are also responsible for recommending and executing processes improvements that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies.
• Responsible for supervision of warehouse personnel and for maintaining inventory accuracy above 85% through a Process Control cycle count process. Performance tracking and reporting are important components of the Supervisor's responsibility
• Responsible for acquisition, maintenance and timely calibration of all Warehouse equipment and supplies necessary to perform daily operations
• Suggest and execute continuous improvement programs to improve work order picks, stock times, inventory accuracy, pick accuracy and product preservation
• Work closely with all functions to achieve business goals and objectives related to customer owned property, revenue recognition, milestone material identification, direct material storage and defect resolution
• Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements
• Monitor implementation of corrective action plans
• Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional groups and across shifts to resolve bottlenecks, parts shortages and manpower issues
• Assure timely shipments to all customers
• Prepare and implement work orders and plans as required
• Create, audit and revise processes associated with warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow
• Interface with demand management, scheduling, supply sources, customer service reps and other GE organizations as required
• Maintain accurate traceability for all records created during manufacturing of products, and ICR transfers
• Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs
• Highlight and demonstrate a full understanding of GEPC Quality & EHS procedures.
• Completed and passing grade of year 12.
• Current National LTPHRW (Forklift License - LF).
• A minimum of three years supervisory experience preferred, but not essential.
• Solid warehouse experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Experience using SAP / Syteline.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Transportation and Storage Requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
