Electrical and Instrumentation Technician/Engineer


 
Due to the expansion of their world-class manufacturing facility in the north of Melbourne, this internationally renowned top 10 Pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their Engineering Services team.

With an increase in product pipeline and the expansion of their sterile facility in the north of Melbourne, this Global Pharmaceutical company that is renowned for producing innovative and class-leading products is looking for an experienced Electrical Technician/Engineer to join their growing Engineering Services Team.

Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the primary responsibilities for this position include:

- Providing supervision and direction for a qualified team of electrical and instrumentation trades people over 4 shifts

- Install various instrumentation equipment in to the facility

- Calibrate and test facility equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

- Diagnose and repair faults in loop elements, electronic systems and sub-assemblies

- Manage spare parts (locate spare parts and identify when stock is depleted)

- Other preventative maintenance work on equipment such as temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity and other equipment

- Report on unsafe practices that may be occurring within the facility

- Report on work activities in the Work Orders document (report on maintenance history, all materials used and what further actions need to be taken)

For you to be successful you must have:

- A tertiary background in electrical or instrumentation

- Possess trade qualifications in electrical engineering

- Have worked in a highly regulated GMP environment (have a good understanding of the PIC/s code) and worked within a monitored QMS system (pharmaceutical experience preferred but those who have worked in food, medical device, biotechnology, petrochemical or other highly regulated industry will be considered)

- Have a proven background leading a group of experienced electrical and instrumentation trades people (preferably 2-3 years)

- Have good experience working and using a CMS system (EAM highly desirable however other packages such as MEX would be considered)

- Having a restricted electrical licence (S - licence) is highly desired but not essential

- Be able to work autonomously

- Be reliable and willing to work outside of standard work hours where necessary
