The Virtual University Curriculum Manager is responsible for leading the curriculum pillar of the Crotonville Virtual University Strategy. The role will be accountable for a team that is responsible for building/maintaining leadership and non-leadership programs, off-the-shelf vendor partnerships, as well as managing the online learning P&L responsible for catering to the online learning needs of the entire GE organization.
  • Lead GE employees, contractors, and vendors to deliver GE Crotonville’s virtual university curriculum strategy as well as the standardization & enrichment of the online learning programs across the company
  • In partnership with the broader Crotonville leadership learning organization - identify relevant foundational skills, apply the right pedagogical & instructional methods to design, develop, and deploy interventions
  • Accountable for designing and building out the content offerings for the Crotonville Virtual University
  • Play a pivotal role in defining the New Product Introduction process with the business/region delivery and operations team
  • Lead an internal design board that looks at all the Crotonville offerings and identifies the best areas to innovate & go virtual
  • Make strategic decisions about what & how to build vs. what to buy
  • Provide oversight to the online learning P&L
  • Resolve conflicts and break down barriers for the team as it strives to standardize and establish a governance process for online learning across the company
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, budgets, stakeholders, communications, and other day-to-day activities to deliver on the assigned outcomes
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in LD, Instructional Design, Organizational Psychology, Education, HR, or other relevant areas)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in designing engaging, creative, and immersive learning solutionsEligibility Requirements:

  • Instructional Design experience, expertise or equivalent
  • Prior People Management Experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L budgets & financials
  • Understanding of tools such as WebEx Training Center, Articulate Presenter, Lectora, or other equivalents as appropriate
  • Personal presence, program knowledge and communication skills to work with business leaders, and a broad range of training administration and delivery vendors
  • Proven ability in service orientation and delivery excellence; demonstrates a strong passion and headset for Client Service
  • Highly creative problem solving skills, coupled with exceptional process and project management and execution skills
  • Able to handle multiple priorities; initiate, lead and manage change
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural/global/matrixed environment
  • Strong demonstrated writing, facilitation, and verbal communication skills, articulating complex ideas in an easy to understand manner to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills; able to lead virtually
  • Proven influencing skills in a challenging, matrixed environment and at executive levels
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Deep Instructional Design and/or online learning experience
  • Hands on experience with online learning tools
  • Experience apply online learning for purpose for designing leadership learning
  • Experience building a social learning strategy
