The role of Fraud Risk Analyst will share responsibility for the performance and monitoring of key fraud detection systems and processes. The position will focus on observing fraud trends and implementing changes in fraud systems in order to mitigate losses to the GE Capital Australia business whilst maintaining acceptable business limits. There will also be a focus placed on developing improved methods to profile customers and fraudsters with the goal of reducing genuine customer impact. | |
Drive
and facilitate the continued optimisation of Fraud Prevention Systems
by way of; rule reviews, trend analysis, customer & fraudster
Profiling.
Provide targeted commentary of Fraud Loss and Prevention results both internally and externally. Monitor and communicate volume and quality metrics for operational fraud teams ensuring that the business is aware of changes to headcount requirement and/or loss appetite. Interpret data outputs of confirmed Fraud Incidents and translate these into prevention strategies. Assist in the forecasting of fraud exposure and losses. Assist in the implementation and analysis of new Fraud Prevention products as they become available. Drive the communication of new/improved system and process strategies to wider fraud department. | |
•Educated to degree level in mathematics, statistics or a related analytical field.
•2+ years experience with SAS, SQL or equivalent coding experience with successful track record of working within risk or fraud analytics •Experience working closely with an operational function and frontline staff. •Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong capabilities to articulate complex technical information. •Understanding of fraud and cyber-crime environment. •Ability to work in very dynamic environment where priorities can change frequently. •Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines. |
