Tax free Basic monthly salary from QAR 7,800-9900 CONTRACT 3 years renewable contract. Preferred: BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING, with practical training in Mechl., Electl., or Building Trade technology. EXPERIENCE: 10 yrs current experience. Preferred: 10 yrs. + in similar position. AGE: As per hospital policy only candidates up to the age of 49 will be considered. REGISTRATION: Relevant trade certification preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: English essential. POSITION SUMMARY Supervise, coordinate and monitor the activities of all trades under his assigned section, to the standard and performance set by the Engineering department. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Demonstrates knowledge and application of the medical corporation mission, vision and values. 2. Determine schedules and assignments for work activities based on work priority, available equipment and skill of tradesmen. 3. Evaluate work performance of tradesmen and make recommendations such as merit increases, promotions, transfers and disciplinary action. 4. Advise of equipments and systems conditions which warrant emergency repairs, upgrading or replacement. 5. Consult with Engineer regarding work orders/projects and staff deployment and keep him informed of related activities, needs and problems. 6. Coordinate with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) regarding issuing, accomplishing and returning of work orders or documentation. 7. Inspect and monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules. 8. Establish activity objectives and output standard for his group. 9. Provide guidance, counsel and technical assistance to tradesmen. PROBLEM SOLVING / DECISION MAKING: Works independently in close coordination with the Engineer. Solves day to day problems involving subordinates and technical aspects of the work arising out in the field and shops. Refer major problems to Engineer.
