As the Systems Specialist you will be working with a team of developers, provide consultancy services and ensure system availability to meet business objectives.

What services do the team provide?

The BSIP team provide services and integration capabilities to projects and initiatives. There are three main activities: (1) Service Architecture & Planning; (2) Service Provisioning and (3) Service Operations.

BSIP is a SOA integration platform for IWT (IB&M, CFS,CFSGAM and CommInsure). We have integration services ranging from Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Investment, Insurance and Superannuation. On the technology side, BSIP runs on TIBCO Active Matrix and Business Connect.

What will your duties be?
  • Lead the analysis of current IT environments e.g. Systems data and processes, and conduct reviews of systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement
  • Undertake appropriate planning for compliance upgrades, software releases, and/or technology/service upgrades
  • Recommend changes to processes and systems, with measurable business benefits, based on current and future customer needs, industry trends and new technologies, knowledge of the system, analysis and performance and oversee the management and execution of any enhancements
  • Contribute to regular audits and update records of assets and configuration items
  • Ensure effective Change Management and Capacity Management processes are in place for systems within your portfolio
  • Working with technology partners on a day to day basis to ensure system availability and bandwidth
  • Provide input to project / conduct BAU; work stream deliverables including quality control/sign off for areas of accountability

What experience do we need you to have?
  • Proven experience managing applications, testing processes and all phases of systems development methodology
  • Extensive experience in the complete application development lifecycle
  • Strong experience as a Lead Business Analyst or Lead Analyst Programmer
  • Ability to liaise with off shore vendorsincluding designers, developers and testers.
  • Exposure to Data Modelling, Process Modelling, Use Case Modelling and Action Modelling
