This Private Banker role is responsible for being the local representative for Commonwealth Private Bank (CPB) in Newcastle, and for developing and managing relationships with High Net Worth Clients and referral sources. The role is responsible for gaining a deep understanding of the needs of the client, providing them with wealth solutions around a full range of Banking and Advisory products and services.

Key dutiesinclude:
  • Developing and managing the relationships with a group of high net worth individuals/clients
  • Maximising the revenue earned from every client relationship through providing appropriate product / services solutions toyour clients
  • Building CPB's presence in Newcastle, through developing relationships with:
    • Existing and New clients
    • Internal CBA Group referral sources including Corporate and Retail Banking
    • External referral sources
  • Conducting events, presentations and other marketing opportunities
  • Managing and developing team members within your area of responsibility
  • Provide support and assistance to the Executive Manager in meeting the overall business targets for the team.

Essential attributes include:
  • Strong connections with Newcastle and the local banking and advisory industry
  • Sound understanding of the Private Banking market
  • Experience in a relationship management role
  • To be an accomplished marketer with excellent interpersonal relations and sound written and oral communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of Advisory Products and Services
  • Good appreciation of taxation and superannuation implications for high net worth individuals
  • Lending experience, so as to maximise opportunities but retain a good quality portfolio
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Strong customer focus
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Diploma of Financial Planning 1-4 minimum, with plan to complete 5-8.

Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline and Finsia Private Bank accreditation would be highly regarded.
