As a key member of the Group Strategic Development team you will play a key role providing comprehensive research and strategic analysis on relevant issues and initiatives, supporting the development and execution of the Group's corporate strategy.

The Group Strategic Development team advises the CEO, is responsible for developing the Group's corporate strategy and executes high-priority corporate and cross-business unit projects that support the achievement of the corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining a sound understanding of the Australian and international financial services industry, with particular regard to current and future trends.
• Undertaking research and delivering high quality analysis and commercial perspectives on various issues and initiatives. This will include identifying data sources, reviewing and synthesising information, conducting a comprehensive analysis based on this research and drawing out implications and/or recommendations.
• Working productively as part of the team or independently, to manage deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Contributing towards the identification of strategic growth options and formulation of corporate strategy through active interaction within and outside the GSD team.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders from other business units who may contribute, influence or be impacted by the strategy planning process and other GSD-led projects.

Requirements for the role:

• Degree in Economics or Business related field.
• Experience in researching and analysing complex issues.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Modelling and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
