SENIOR CONTRACT TOWN PLANNER
•Senior role •Long term contract This state government department drives, coordinates and streamlines land-use and transport planning, infrastructure development and natural resource management in New South Wales. Seeking an experienced Planner with a strong background in Policy formulation and people management skills to join their team and work on a program which will drive employment in NSW in the new Planning System. Within this role you will take responsibility for: •Managing a team of skilled Planners to ensure the key deliverables of the project are delivered and meet future needs •Undertaking major investigations to explore opportunities to improve the program •Taking a lead role in Urban Growth Plans, Sub regional Delivery Plans among others •Provide expert advice to to external and internal stakeholders To be eligible to apply for this role you will have: •A degree in Town Planner or relevant tertiary qualification •A strong professional background in NSW at a State Government or Local Council level •MUST have experience with GIS software and MS Access/Excel •A demonstrable working knowledge of Policy formulation and Strategic land rezoning •Excellent people management skills and high level of organisation •A sound knowledge of the EPA Act and the current changes happening in the NSW Planning System This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner with a solid Professional background in the NSW Planning system to take on a lead role at the forefront of the New Planning system in NSW and drive employment growth throughout the state | |
