We are currently inviting qualified individuals to join the Australian Finance team in the role of Senior Accountant, Cards and Group Reporting.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Overall accounting responsibility for the Credit Cards and Retail Alliances business including month end accounting requirements
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger systems for Credit Cards, ensuring all accounting controls are in place and operating appropriately
  • Monitor daily and monthly reconciliation process for credit cards
  • Providing support and assistance on projects and transaction as required across the business
  • Provide support to the Senior Manager, Financial Control and Group Reporting as required
  • Key contact for all accounting and reconciliation related issues arising from the Credit Card business, ensuring strong and effective working relationships and build with relevant stakeholders across the business

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you will need:
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Finance, Commerce)
  • Professional qualification high regarded
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position, ideally within Banking or Financial Services
  • Strong Financial Accounting and Control skills with proven knowledge of financial accounting techniques such as consolidation, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews
  • Demonstrated skill in determining and interpreting the financial and economic data required for support analysis,
  • Advanced MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, Visio and MS Access skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across a business
