Role Summary/Purpose The objective of this role is to use knowledge of all fraud systems processes to:
• Assist in identification of business process inefficiencies/gaps and develop technical solutions
• Assist in identification of new and current threats to fraud
• Create awareness and provide advice on current process/technology vulnerabilities that may lead to fraud and provide solutions
• Provide advice on impact to fraud department/environment associated with process changes, new products and initiativ
Essential Responsibilities • Support technical lead in the area of database analytics, cyber-crime analysis and system/code development.
• Identify solutions to areas of in-efficiency in the fraud department and execute development where possible. This may include but is not limited to the automation of reporting/monitoring, fraud operations processes and trend analysis code.
• Assist in the development of in-house solutions for fraud processes including fraud case management, fraud detection, and exception based behavioural analysis.
• Support leader in the research and assessment of cyber-crime threats to GE ANZ and identify technology to protect the business against threat.
• Assist in development of cost benefit analysis’ for new fraud systems solutions
• Review functional specifications in order to ensure that any systems/process changes that may lead to a fraud impact are communicated and that adequate testing is scheduled and co-ordinated in a timely fashion.
Qualifications/Requirements • 2+ years’ experience as a technical business analyst and/or developer
• Proven ability to assess risks associated with products/processes from a technical perspective
• Proven aptitude for process improvement and automation
• Ability to be resourceful and quickly identify SME’s for problem assessment and solving
• Awareness of project environment at GE
• Knowledge of process improvement terms and concepts
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong capabilities to articulate complex technical information. Strong facilitation and negotiation skills at all levels of the organisation
• Strong P&L focus, with the ability to think operationally and implement projects providing a P&L impact.
• Understanding of fraud and cyber-crime environment.
• Ability to work in very dynamic environment where priorities can change frequently.
• Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
