Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in meeting customer needs by offering the right products through the right channels to the right customer segments, thereby maximising value and business revenue. Responsible for achieving sales and revenue targets and implementing distribution strategy, the team drives the delivery of market.

We are seeking a motivated and sales driven Branch Manager to develop and increase awareness of our business locally through the implementation of the Retail Banking Wealth Management Strategy at our new branch in Ashfield.

As Branch Manager for the newest branch across the Australian network, this is a high profile position that will prove both challenging and rewarding.

The incumbent will be a highly motivated, target driven, and dedicated people leader. This role requires strong people leadership skills, a business development focus and a proven record of strategy implementation and execution, with a particular focus on growing new to bank business.

You will be leading and managing a branch team including Premier Relationship Managers and Premier Financial Planners, with whom have responsibility for achieving team objectives around customer retention, cross-selling and new sales (banking and financial). You will bring drive and energy to the role to succeed in an increasingly competitive environment. Your ideas, vision, can-do attitude and approach will contribute to your success in this role.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in the set up and management of the new Ashfield branch.
  • Support and implement network wide retention strategies via effective Portfolio Management.
  • Ensure RBWM Tracker and Bench Marking results are communicated to all staff and actioned accordingly.
  • Achieve branch or department business volume growth targets set in TPM's and AOP.
  • Manage staff sales activity, referrals and contacts.
  • Drive cross sales of other HSBC products and services and portfolio growth.
  • Maintain a strict cost discipline and identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Drive retention strategies via active portfolio management.
  • Drive strategic business development strategies.
  • Plan and document a Business Plan.
  • Support and Implement process and procedure improvements as well as group initiatives within designated timeframes.
  • Proactively work with Credit and Operational Support to ensure the smooth facilitation of loans and the delivery of quality credit applications in and efficient timeframe.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience in leading and coaching a relationship management/sales team.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and an ability to develop and motivate a team of high performers.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to identify customer wealth creation needs, with a strong aptitude in learning new products and services.
  • Understands the compliance and audit requirements for the Branch.
  • Clear customer focus and commitment to deliver the most suitable solution for the customer.
