Yes as Customer Service Representative (CSR)you will still do all the duties of the old teller roles, receiving deposits, cashing cheques, paying bills etc. But a CSR role with Commonwealth Bank is so much more. Working towards sales targets, as a CSR you will ensure your clients are educated and kept up to date on all our products, and provide recommendations on the products that suit your clients' needs. For instance a client has recently taken out a mortgage, you would be in a position to recommend products such as home & contents insurance, and maybe a credit card for unforseen household expenses.

But the great thing about CSR roles in our Bank is they can be the start of a career in banking and finance. The majority of senior roles above CSR level in the branches are filled by internal candidates..... we look after our own. And there will be countless opportunities to move into many other divisions of the bank such as business banking and lending.
