Sales Associate

GENERAL SUMMARY
The sales associate assists the sales team by creating leads through cold calls that help to bring new business and generates revenue.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Account Management Process & Identifying Opportunities: They explore prospects and qualify accounts to increase and validate the territory pipeline. To do this they use all available resources to qualify accounts and maintain updated call lists and profiles of ranked leads.
  • Follow-up: Tracks revenue generated from leads they passed to Reps and follows-up on open leads to ensure action has been taken.
  • Self Development: Meets regularly with Business Development Mangers to understand EMC's relationships with its partners. Also, assists Sales Reps with deals from the initial contact with a prospective customer to the close of the deal to learn the process.
  • Customer Responsiveness: Responds and meets commitments to internal customers and partners. Also, gathers information required by Area Field Managers for comprehensive drill down sessions.
  • Cross Functional Behavior: Uses outside resources to build a winning team (e.g. partners, contacts, influencers). In addition, they set up meetings with all local managers to review goals and understand roles on an ongoing basis.
