V&V/Test Engineer


 
Due to the continued growth of their Australian branch and exciting new products being developed, this world-leading medical device company based in East Melbourne is currently looking for a couple of Validation & Verification Engineers to join their team and assist with growing operations.



Widely known and respected for designing and manufacturing world-leading pathology equipment, this rapidly growing medical device company is seeking a couple of Validation & Verification Engineers to assist in the design of new test tools, equipment and procedures, and also play a critical role in executing product and process tests for these new products.



Reporting to the Validation and Verification Manager, your key responsibilities will include:



- Working with design engineers to verify new robotic and mechanical designs

- Create, execute and review test cases, procedures and reports

- Conduct electrical and mechanical verification for new designs

- Create new testing tools (ie. Robotic jigs, fixtures, and other hardware of fluidic based tools) in order to conduct these tests

- Report on any product defects that occur during verification activities

- Draw up and review validation and verification documentation

- Trial final designs and prototypes before being transferred to full scale manufacturing



In order to be the successful candidate for the position you must have:



- Tertiary qualifications in engineering (mechanical, mechatronic, electronic)

- Have worked in the medical devices, military or aerospace industries

- Have worked in an R&D environment

- Understanding of FDA or TGA regulations highly desirable (21 CFR or GAMP)

- 3 years experience minimum with hardware testing

- Proven experience designing test jigs for components

- Experience with both mechanical and electrical design tools/programs (CAD tools such as ProE or Altium)

- Experience with defect and change systems (ie. JIRA)

- Be friendly and energetic

- Be able to take initiative, be open-minded and open to new ideas
