The
Telco & Service Provider District Manager that has a broad subject
matter expertise in the area of Telecommunications, Networks &
Service Provider business models and technologies including cloud-based
services. They will most likely to have been in a Senior Sales
management role for at least 5 years. Prior experience in a Service
Provider and Telecommunications Sales management role will be an added
advantage.
Working
closely with the field Sales teams, this role will be responsible for
driving revenue from Key Telecommunications customers and Service
Provider members of the EMC Service Provider Program (VSPP – Velocity
Service Provider program) in the selected region. Additionally, the SP
BDM will recruit and business develops new Service Providers to join the
VSPP Program, using strong relationship, business and selling skills.
The role will require a strong understanding of “Sell To, Sell in, Sell
out and Resell” On top of this, the candidate is expected to be
conversant with creating, developing and executing sales strategies
aimed at driving EMC based cloud and X-aaS offerings take up within
Service Provider accounts. In accounts where EMC has a very good
footprint they will be working very closely with the EMC Core Sales
Person and District Managers, to augment the sales and account planning
processes, providing direction as the Cloud and SP Specialist. The team
will be assigned targeted accounts as a primary focus to penetrate with
EMC for their internal IT and partner Service Provider Solutions.
The
person will be measured based on both revenue attainment and quarterly
MBOs that focuses on EMC Sel to IT and key Service Provider wins and
rolling out of the Service Provider program to targeted Service
Providers. The role will be based in Sydney and travelling will be
required.
Anticipated
Accounts in this district include Telstra, Optus Singtel, Macquarie
Telecom, CSC, Nextgen, Rackspace & NBN as well as overall
responsibility for the ANZ strategy in this vertical. This means running
an ANZ strategy that is inclusive the Telco & SP activities in NZ
and remote states.
The role will report directly to the VP & MD for ANZ.
