Production Engineer - Brisbane based

With strong growth in their Australian operations, this market-leading Medical Device company is currently seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their Engineering team at their Brisbane based site. Due to continued and accelerated growth in their manufacturing operations here inAustralia, this top performing ASX listed medical device company, renowned for developing and producing innovative products to the global market, is currently looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join their established engineering team. This is an exciting new position that will be based in theirBrisbanesite and will play a key role in the completion of a variety of different operational activities. The main responsibilities for this role include: - Utilise various LEAN tools accompanied with predefined company procedures in order to identify and solve problems that arise in the manufacturing process - Employ strategies and practices to reduce defects and improve production yields - Design, procure, and manufacture production tools (including, jigs, fixtures, etc) - Write protocols and execute verification & validation procedures - Train other relevant staff in the safe operation of new and existing equipment (ie. Operators) For you to be successful you must have: - A tertiary degree in a relevant engineering discipline - 2-5 years of experience in Production or Industrial engineering - Experience working in a Medical Device or related industry - Worked in a GMP environment - Experience with injection moulding would be highly favoured - Proven experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques - Have experience with Project Management' - Have experience with the procurement and commissioning of manufacturing equipment - Be organized and have a track record of meeting tight deadlines - Strong documentation experience - Have excellent communication skills - Be driven and motivated to succeed - Be able to work within a team environment This is a fantastic opportunity to join this market leading company and be an integral part of their ever-growing operations.
