The National Field Service Leader has responsibility for managing all aspects of field service operations in Australia and Papua New Guinea. In this role the incumbent will be responsible for the field services execution of all installation, commissioning and services activities including planning, resource optimization, execution and development / growth of our regional field services team, ensuring adherence to all GE Oil and Gas Pressure Control EHS policies and work place practices.
As a National Field Services Leader your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Driving effective and coordinated completion of all region field service activities relating to on-site drilling, completion, commissioning and maintenance activities;
• Building and growing local regional field service strategies based on global template, i.e. number of resources, training plans, logistics, direct hires, technical support, planning etc;
• Interfacing with all key stakeholders: - customers, sales, project management and integrated services to coordinate appropriate technical resources when and where required;
• Partnering with all the P&L and regional leaders;
• Partnering with HR to expand the local field resource pools, according to the local business requirements and global fulfillment workforce capacity;
• Driving the recruitment strategy to achieve the desired capacity for the field service organization;
• Leading the local team of Field Service personnel to assure their professional development through ongoing training;
• Taking responsibility for training and development of staff to meet project and growth requirements in conjunction with the Regional Learning and Development Manager;
• Working with required business systems (ERP’s) to ensure all service activities are properly and fully documented and turned in for invoicing per company requirements;
• Promote and ensure compliance to company, customer, project and regulatory EHS requirements & expectations at all times, leading the culture of 0 EHS incidence and open reporting
• Promote and ensure compliance to customer, company, project and regulatory Quality management systems at all times, leading the culture to minimize and eliminate customer down time;
• Contribute to the leadership team for GE PC ANZ;
• Ensure there is an effective Compliance Culture, striving to achieve 0 Compliance Incidents.
• As a minimum, completion and passing grade of year 12.
• Tertiary qualifications including a mechanical degree or trade would be an advantage but not compulsory.
• Minimum five years experience in an Oil & Gas managerial or technical support role, with well-developed leadership skills.
• Sound experience in Oil & Gas industry and proven strong organizational / managerial experience;
• Well-developed people management, influencing and decision-making skills;
• Convincing communication skills and confidence with executive level presentations;
• Familiar with root cause analysis methods and tools;
• A team player with outstanding influencing skills to perform in a matrix role;
• Strong process mind set and proven track record of business impact;
• Strong analytical skills combined with drive to implement processes and operating rhythm;
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
