The role supports the management and business representativesin maintaining financial control of the business by providing timely financial information, together with predictive and insightful analysis of results
The role supports the management and business representativesin maintaining financial control of the business by providing timely financial information, together with predictive and insightful analysis of results.

You will be responsible for:
  • Early identification & resolution of financial / budget issues regarding the business expenses
  • Help to educate business on unit costs, expense drivers, Activity Based Costing (ABC), cost centre issues and other information requests
  • Assist cost centre Managers in formal or strategic reviews to assist in management & control of their cost centre
  • Ensure all internal and external financial analysis requirements and deadlines are met including effective analysis of monthly expenses, against budget, forecast & prior periods and all FTE reporting requirements
  • Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls in the Expense process, including GL related controls.This includes managing the accruals listing, reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and processing journals into PeopleSoft GL
  • Review data integrity and validation of outputs from Decision Support (peer review)
  • Influence team and broader business on the focus areasto improve financial performance

To be successful you will have:
  • A degree in business/accounting required with post graduate studies (CPA/CA) preferred
  • Financial services background is highly desirable
  • Strong people management skills (including leveraging resources that don't report to you and may be more senior than you)
  • Strong report-writing, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong business analytical skills and commercial acumen
